Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Positions available: 1
Regular Working Hours*: Monday – Friday, (30 hr/wk) between 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM flexible, some evenings required

Rate of Pay: $11.00/hr
Start Date: July 3, 2018
End Date: August 28, 2018

Job Summary:  The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for working under the Clerk/Treasurer doing daily computer input, scanning and archiving documents, dealing with customers as well as overseeing the Fitness Centre.

Applicant Requirements:

  • must be at least 16 years of age and a current secondary or post secondary student returning to full time studies in the fall of 2018
  • First Aid/CPR certification**
  • Criminal Record check

The Canning Merritt Gibson Memorial Library is presently running the third silent auction until May 11, 2018.  Included in this auction are:

  • 2 tickets to the Ross Creek Centre for the Arts presentation of North Mountain Vanya
  • gift certificates from Longspell Farm and Moon Tide Farm
  • a gift basket of spice mixes and infused oil from Farmer John’s Herbs
  • a set of vouchers and market bag from Wolfville Farmer’s Market
  • a tea, herb and sauce pack, and
  • a gift certificate from Lee’s shop.

Horticulture Talk

Carol Goodwin of Beneath the Boughs Woodland Plant Nursery and Pottery in Kentville is joining us Saturday May 5 at 2 PM to talk about her horticultural specialties.  Carol is also a talented sculptor and potter, and will be able to answer a wide range of questions about plants and art in the garden.  Light refreshments will be served.  Free will offering.
