Artist Lucie Chan will speak at the Merritt Gibson Memorial Library about her art projects on Tuesday, October 10 at 2-4pm. Really thought-provoking paintings! Lucie is currently the visiting artist at Ross Creek Arts Centre. Born in Guyana and educated in Canada, Vancouver now provides the backdrop for Chan’s delicate and evocative drawing-based art practice. She holds a BFA from Alberta College of Art and Design and an MFA from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She has participated in several group exhibitions, in Canada but mainly in Halifax, Toronto, and Montreal. She is an associate professor at Emily Carr Art Institute in BC.
