As many of you have probably heard, the Province is asking healthcare workers not currently in the workforce to help their communities by filling positions in long-term care facilities to address staffing shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing vacancies. Specifically, long-term care facilities are recruiting people with needed skills and training who are retired or not currently working in the sector, as well as those who are working on a part-time basis and can move to full-time hours on a temporary basis. Temporary, short-term and long-term paid positions are available now.
