We’re excited to introduce The Village of Canning’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Committee. A group of community members and village commissioners with the goal to ensure Canning is a welcoming, inclusive, and accepting community for all.
The key roles of the committee include:
· The creation, review, and implementation of policies, programs, and services through an inclusive lens.
· Offering recommendations on community engagement, training, and other initiatives to promote equity and belonging.
· Connecting with provincial resources to stay informed and support marginalized communities.
· Ensuring our village remains welcoming, respectful, and accessible for all.
We’re committed to listening, learning, and taking meaningful action so everyone in Canning feels valued and included. To promote community engagement with The Committee and to start a dialogue we’re pleased to offer Canning’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion survey!
The survey is a short online questionnaire that gathers your thoughts and experiences on diversity, equity, and inclusion in our village. Your perspective will help us celebrate what we’re already doing well, while also identifying areas where we can improve
